Song Selector (Artists)

The Song Selector supports a robust lookup and filtering system. Pictured here is an example of filtering by Artists.

The Filter tabs allow the user to select between the available filter types.

 

2 . Artists FilterArtists Filter

Artists Filter

This is the Artists filter criteria entry field. A complete or partial entry of the Artist's name in this field allows the user to limit the list of available artists. Once a filter string is entered you can click Search or press enter.

 

3 . Artists ListArtists List

Artists List

When the Artists tab is selected the display area represents the Artists List. This list contains the list of available options to filter the main song lookup by. The Artists filter at the top of the list allows you to reduce the list of albums by applying filter criteria.   You may double left click an artist's title from this list to apply to the Filter By set on the Song List.

 

4 . Filter ByFilter By

Filter By

Filter By allows you to filter the main song search list by the selected Artist or Album. The appropriate option will automatically be selected when double left clicking your mouse on an entry in either the Artists or Albums lists.

 

You must manually clear both check boxes to release the Filter By option when you want to look up songs by title only.

 

5 . Song FilterSong Filter

This is the song filter criteria entry field. A complete or partial entry of the Song's Title in this field allows the user to limit the list of available songs. Once a filter string is entered you can click Search or press enter.

 

Any checked Filter By options are applied first and then the filter string is applied. This combination of Filter By options and song filter criteria allows the user to quickly locate desired songs.

 

6 . Song ListSong List

Song List

The Song List displays the list of songs after any filters have been applied. If no filters have been applied you will get a complete list of all songs in the current library. (Caution--this can take some time with large libraries.)

 

The song list supports individual and multiple song selection utilizing the standard windows list selection methods. Left Mouse Click and Left Mouse Click + Shift or Ctl. Once selected songs can be transferred to the Send To target utilizing the action buttons to the right of the Song List.

 

Songs can be transferred to the Send To target one at a time by double left clicking the song entry in the Song List.

 

Right Clicking on a song in the Song List displays that song in the Information Display Window.

 

Double Right Clicking on a song in the Song List loads that song into the Previewer Player.

 

7 . Transfer TargetTransfer Target

Transfer Target

The Transfer Target or (Send To) selection button has two modes, List Editor and Cue List. Clicking the button toggles between the targets.

 

In the List Editor setting only the selected items in the Song List are transferred to the Play List Editor. In the Cue List setting only the selected items in the Song List are transferred to the Cue List. In the All mode all of the items in the selected Play List are transferred to the Cue List.

 

 

8 . < Top > Button< Top > Button

< Top > Button

The <Top> button sends the selected songs to the top of the Transfer Target (Send To).

 

9 . < Sel > (Select) Button< Sel > (Select) Button

< Sel > (Select) Button

The <Sel> (Select) button sends the selected songs to the selected position in the Transfer Target (Send To).

 

10 . < Bottom > Button< Bottom > Button

< Bottom > Button

The <Bottom> button sends the selected songs to the bottom position in the Transfer Target (Send To).

 

11 . Target PositionTarget Position

Target Position

The Target Position sets the default for the left double mouse click. When a song is left double clicked it is sent to the Transfer Target (Send To). The position to which it is sent to in the Transfer Target is one of these three:   Top, Selected, Bottom. The options directly correspond to the adjacent button.
